SPRING 2012 

   COMPETITIVE SWIM CLINIC  

SEYMOUR HIGH SCHOOL POOL

April 23, 2012 - JUNE 1, 2012

 If you have registered yet please come to the pool the first night of practice.

Current Club Members – Perfect your technique and drop your times.

New Club Members – Learn proper technique and join a competitive swim team

No competitive experience necessary, however must be able to complete 25 yards without assistance

 Swimmers will be placed in one of four groups depending on age and/or skill level

 Developmental – This group is primarily for young and beginning swimmers with little to no prior competitive swimming experience. 

Stroke instruction and technique, along with starts and turns will be taught in a fun and relaxed environment.

 Cubs - Consists of swimmers with some competitive experience. They can perform legal 50 yard events of both freestyle and backstroke. 

 Swimmers have basic knowledge of Butterfly and Breaststroke. Swimmers must be able to perform several continuous laps in practice.

Cougars - Consists of swimmers that can legally perform 50 yard events in all 4 strokes and the 100 IM.  Emphasis is on technique while more advanced training skills and endurance training are introduced.

 Cats – This is our highest-level group, primarily for experienced older swimmers.  Emphasis is on more serious training, while technique is refined.

 Parents-Please come prepared with payment at the time of registration. Parents can pay in full or make three payment installments.

There have been a few changes I wanted to inform our families on.

First, we said goodbye to some of our board members last season, but this year we say hello to a few new ones.
